can you make water grow

What you need:

plastic bottle

Water

a marker or tape

a freezer

What you do:

step 1:fill the plastic bottle about 3 /4 the way up

step 2: make a mark with tape or marker at the water level

step 3:put the bottle in the freezer right side up

step 4: check the water level the next day

what you need:

tape

3 measuring cup 1/2 cup of white vinegar a 1/3 cup of dishwashing liquid

tablespoon of baking soda

some cardboard

a bottle

some aluminum foil

some crumpled up paper

Red food coloring we used vine tomato juice

Step 1 :pour 1/2 a cup of white vinegar into the bottle

Step 2:Add 1/3 cup of dishwashing liquid

Step 3:Add some red food coloring

Step 4:tape down  the bottle to the center of the box

Step 5:ball up some paper and tape it to form a mountain                                                                                                                                                                           shape

Step 6:Place a sheet of aluminum foil over the bottle and the paper smooth it down

Step 7:wrap 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a paper  towel

Step 8: put the baking soda in through the bottle and give it a shake

the volcano erupted for 22 min!

the reason the volcano erupts is because

The baking soda and vinegar volcano erupts because of an acid-base reaction. The baking soda is a base called sodium bicarbonate. The vinegar is an acid called acetic acid. When you combine the two, one of the results is a gas called carbon dioxide, which makes all the fizzing and bubbling tha looks like cool lava.
